Balinese Culture

Ceremonies & Festivals

Most of Bali Is Hindu and their religion is woven into every aspect of their lives. There is never a day that passes without a ceremony of some kind, from baby births, weddings, house blessings, and cremation ceremonies, to larger island-wide temple festivals and religious holidays. Handmade flower offerings to the gods are placed daily at every business establishment and home in Bali.

We highly recommend that you witness a ceremony no matter how large or small. They are visually rich and magical to behold. You must wear appropriate clothing to attend a ceremony: sarongs for both men and women with arms at least partly covered; short sleeves are fine. You can ask our staff if there are any local ceremonies you can attend during your stay.
